Maundy Thursday
Apr 2, 2026
The word “maundy” comes from Latin roots and is related to our word for “commandment.” In our tradition, the night before Good Friday calls us to a remembrance of Jesus in the upper room with his friends, sharing a meal with them and washing their feet just before he was arrested.
An observance of Maundy Thursday titled “Beauty in Brokenness: Willingness” is rooted in John 13:1-17; 31b-35 and will take place on April 2 at 6 PM in the Gathering Space. Online content will be available on mstarlc.church.
All are welcome, and come hungry!
