It's Time To Get Started

Morning Star is all about community.

We share joy with, carry the burdens of, and stand up for one another.
It’s through connecting with others that God is revealed to us.

01

Introduce Yourself

We can’t wait to meet you!  By filling out a Connect Card,
we’ll be able to introduce ourselves to you, invite you to some fun events
and point you toward great ways to get involved.

02

Find Your Fit

From finding a Growth Group to downloading the app,
there are several ways for you to get involved here at Morning Star.

Pastoral Care

Pastor Amy holds a Master of Divinity degree from Princeton Theological Seminary, where she was trained in offering pastoral care and spiritual guidance that prioritizes wholistic care and is grounded in a solid scriptural and theological foundation. She's also a certified facilitator of Prepare & Enrich, a relationship resource for engaged and married couples.

Weddings

The people of Morning Star LOVE weddings. This love of love has inspired an annual event in which FREE weddings are offered all day on Valentine's Day (February 14) at the Plaza de Las Cruces. Weddings also may be performed in the church sanctuary or at the place of your choice on a date that works for you.

Baptisms

Everyone needs a place to belong. Baptism reminds us that we belong to God and to each other and is open to people of all ages. If you’ve been baptized at any time in your life, Pastor Amy would be happy to affirm your baptism. If you have not been baptized, she’d be happy to preside over your baptism using the method that you prefer because this ritual is not about the amount of water. The meaning of baptism lies in the power of God’s grace, which is available to all, without exception.

Membership

At Morning Star we believe in doing life together. On the first Sunday of most every month, we host First Sundays at 10:30 AM. A time in which you can sit down with Pastor Amy and talk about our beliefs and those of the United Methodist Church, Baptism and what it means to be a member of Morning Star. You can also ask those random questions that you've been wanting to ask too.

Celebrations of Life

The death of a loved one is not an experience that anyone needs to face alone. This community approaches death through the lens of life, the life that we experience on earth and the life that is yet to come. At Morning Star, you will encounter people who are here to be present with you in grief, to plan the services of your loved one, to cherish blessed memories, to celebrate the value of life and to share hope for the future.
